Elliott Hennington - Director

Elliott is the owner and operator of Trimen Enterprises and is a licensed residential general contractor. He is a retired Air Force veteran with 22 years of service, he graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Park University and received his MBA from Webster University.

Building houses is only one of the many facets of community building where Elliott is actively involved. His philosophy of “treating people the way you want to be treated” has served him well as Chair of the Powder Springs Community Task Force for seven years. He is also a board member of the Austell Community Task Force and helps to bridge communication and common direction with both groups due to his distinguished service as a trusted strategist.

Elliott was appointed to serve on the Cobb County Parks and Recreation Board by Cobb County District 4 Commissioner Lisa Cupid as a result of his proactive and comprehensive thought leadership, and he is Co-Chair of the South Cobb Opportunity Zone, funded by United Way. The Opportunity Zone assists families with becoming involved in their community and with reaching their personal goals.

Elliott's service to Cobb County includes engaging and impacting various committees and initiatives. He helped design routes for the FlexBus schedule, helped organize the Powder Springs MLK Jr. program day of service, an annual event where 500 backpacks are provided for children, and the Giving Hope for the Holidays event where toys are distributed to children in need. He is a math tutor and mentors youth at Tapp Middle School. Elliott volunteers with numerous Cobb County events, such as job fairs, Mableton Day, and several events in Powder Springs. He is well-known in the South Cobb community due to his leadership and significant commitment to initiatives that help to promote positivity for residents.

Elliott serves as the Lead Deacon at Destiny World Church in Austell, and strongly believes in making a more significant impact in the total lives of people that he serves. He has raised two grown sons as a single parent and enjoys watching sports and playing cards.
