After graduating from Berry College with a BS in accounting, Lori spent ten years in the Chick-fil-A Stores Accounting Division. She then moved to Mauldin and Jenkins CPAs as Controller eventually becoming CFO and overseeing several acquisitions and significant growth in the firm. After spending over 15 years in the accounting world, Lori left it behind to become an entrepreneur as one of Georgia's first Smallcakes Cupcakery licensees. Following the company’s big goal of “showing God’s love to the world through relationships, example, contributions, and stewardship”, the business has grown exponentially, recognized by the Cobb Chamber as a Top 25 Small Business of the Year for the past two years and a Best of Cobb winner in multiple categories in Cobb Life magazine for the past five consecutive years.

Lori is very active in the community serving as Treasurer for the Downtown Kennesaw Merchants Association, participating in the 2022 Leadership Cobb class, playing ALTA tennis, singing on the worship team at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church, and spending time with her husband, and their blended family of four adult children.
