Shari Martin - Director

Shari stepped into the role of Executive Director of the Cobb Community Foundation (CCF) in 2017 and was named President and Chief Executive Officer in 2019. She served on the Cobb Chamber’s economic recovery taskforce to support local non-profits and meet the greatest needs in the community during the COVID pandemic. She also established a Cobb COVID-19 Community Response Charitable Fund to serve those impacted by the pandemic and also helped create Operation Meal Plan, which partnered local restaurants with non-profits to feed the community and keep restaurants open. Shari brought together several corporate partners and numerous Cobb County non-profits to form Cobb Community Food Fleet, ensuring that the USDA Farmers to Families food would be available to Cobb citizens in need.

Shari has worked for many years behind the scenes for the betterment of our community and she inspires so many others to do the same. In addition to being a proud member of the Leadership Cobb Class of 2017 and receiving the Ernest Barrett Award for her Commitment to Excellence, Shari was part of the inaugural class of the Philanthropic Advisor Institute. She was named a Woman of Achievement by LiveSafe Resources in 2019 and was honored by the Cobb Collaborative with the Bill Hanson Collaboration Award in 2021.  In 2022, she received the Woman of Distinction Award from the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and Cobb Board of Commissioners' Chairwoman Lisa Cupid's All-In award for her constant dedication to our community.  Shari serves on the board of the Leadership Cobb Alumni Association and is an active member of Marietta Kiwanis.

Raised in Sandy Springs, Shari obtained her B.A. from Furman University in Greenville, SC. She has resided in the metro Atlanta area since college. She has two grown sons, Michael and Matthew Harvey, of whom she is immensely proud, and is married to the love of her life, Tom Martin. Shari and Tom are active members of North Point Community Church.
